When the Legislature gathers in Topeka for the start of the 2022 session on January 10th, State Senator Virgil Peck will move up to serve as vice-chairman of the Senate Assessment and Taxation Committee. Senator Peck says this is an honor to be elevated to this position.
Senator Peck was appointed for the position by Senate President Ty Masterson. The move requires Peck to vacate his position as vice-chair of the Senate Insurance Committee. Peck says he understands it is a step forward for Senate District 15 and looks forward to the challenges of his new responsibility.
