It has been a big year for the Dalton Defenders and Coffeyville when it comes to national media attention. The movie about the Dalton Gang and their attempt to rob two banks in Coffeyville came out earlier this year and premiered here in Coffeyville in early July.

 

During the premiere, some of the actors and the director were available for photo opportunities and a meet and greet. If you've yet to see the Death Alley movie it is now available to purchase on DVD or online. It is also available for free with an Amazon Prime subscription.

 

Later this year during the Dalton Defender Days in October, the crew of Discovery's Expedition Unknown was in town filming an episode for their show. Host Josh Gates says the Dalton Gang could have really made a name for themselves had they pulled off both robberies.

 

The episode of Expedition Unknown featuring the Dalton Gang should debut sometime in April or May of 2022. Expedition Unknown is a weekly show on the Discovery Channel and is also available to stream on Disney+.

 

The City of Coffeyville celebrates and will continue to celebrate the Dalton Defenders every year in October.
