Motorcycle Crashes While Running from Police

A motorcycle flees Parsons Police Officers before eventually crashing.

On Christmas Day, Parsons PD received multiple reports of a motorcycle speeding through the city at estimated speeds of 100mph. Two officers spotted the bike while patrolling on South 16th Street, but the driver was temporarily able to evade the officers. Officers later caught sight of the bike turning east on Morgan. As officers attempted to make a traffic stop the bike sped away toward the low water bridge by Marvel Park. As officers approached the bridge they found bike parts spread out across the street and the bike laying over. The driver attempted to flee on foot and hide in a creek bank.

The driver was identified as Danny Cash Jr and was taken into custody. Cash did have minor injuries from the crash and was taken to Labette Health. Recommended charges are for speeding and interference with a law enforcement officer.
