A meeting to select a new county commissioner will be on Tuesday night to replace Brian Kinzie who was recalled earlier this month by voters.

Registration for the meeting begins at 6:30 pm while the meeting begins at 7 pm Tuesday in the Altamont City Park Building. A photo ID is required to register.

The person who is selected by the Labette County Republican Central Committee at Tuesday's replacement convention will serve until 2022 and will be up for a retention election in November 2022 before completing the full term that ends in 2025.
