A former US senator from Kansas has passed away. Senator Bob Dole has died at the age of 98. Senator Jerry Moran says on behalf of all Kansans they express their sympathies for the Dole family.
Dole served as a senator from 1969-1996 and in 1996 he ran for president. Governor Laura Kelly has ordered all flags to be flown at half staff until sunset on Thursday.
