A Parsons woman has been arrested on numerous charges including theft and burglary.

On Monday, Parsons Police took a report for a theft of delivered goods off a porch. There was a video of the suspect that was posted on social media. Officers also gathered video from several sources throughout a thorough neighborhood canvass.

The next day, Parsons Police Officer Rory Johnson was called to the 2700 block of Gabriel for a report of a possible break-in of an unoccupied house. Officers searched the residence and located 33-year-old Rachel Lynn Ashley in the house. The owner of the residence said that no one was allowed inside. Ashley was arrested without incident.

This investigation led to Ashley being positively identified as the suspect in the theft that had been on social media. Officers made the connection and charges are being filed for that case as well. Ashley is being charged with Criminal Trespass, Theft, and Burglary.
