A Caney man has been arrested for auto theft. Late last week, the Caney Police Department received a call in reference to a stolen vehicle in the 100 block of East Orange St. The victim reported a person, who they knew, had stolen their 2010 Suzuki SX4 from their residence.
Later that day officers made contact with the suspect 48-year-old Shadwick Travis Hoffine and arrested him for auto theft. Hoffine was transported to the Montgomery County Jail. The vehicle was returned to the owner.
