Caney Police Officers and Chautauqua County Sheriff officers locate and arrest the suspect in the motorcycle theft in Caney. Last Wednesday, a motorcycle was reported stolen in Caney by neighbors who saw the suspect ride off with it. During the course of this investigation, Caney PD identified a possible suspect in this case from Peru.

Caney PD then worked with the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department and developed enough information for Chautauqua County to obtain a search warrant at an address in Peru. On Friday, sheriff's officers executed a search warrant on a storage shed where they located the stolen 1989 Harley Davidson. The suspect was identified as Joshua McKinney. Officers were able to locate and place McKinney into custody.
