Vehicle Pursuit from Neodesha to Independence Ends in Arrest

 

A vehicle chase goes through two counties and involves four law enforcement agencies.

 

Early Tuesday morning, the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office was alerted to a vehicle pursuit by the Neodesha Police Department that was entering the county. The pursuit continued east on US 400 to US 169 then west on County Road 6000, where the Cherryvale Police Department joined. Sheriff's deputies joined the pursuit on US 75 in Sycamore. The vehicle continued south and as the vehicle entered into city limits the Independence Police Department joined.

 

At around 1:06am the vehicle came to a stop and officers were able to take the driver into custody. The driver was identified as 40-year-old Valarie Bigley of Independence. She was transported to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections where she was booked for felony fleeing and eluding, no liability insurance, trafficking contraband into a correctional facility and possession of methamphetamine.
