Traffic Stops Turns into Drug Bust

 

The Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Neodesha Police Department, and Wilson County Sheriffs Office arrested two men after they discovered over 82 pounds of methamphetamine in their vehicle. On Wednesday night around 11:50 PM, an officer conducted a traffic stop for speeding at the 400 block of Main Street. Probable cause to search the vehicle was established and methamphetamine was found.

 

The approximated street value for the methamphetamine is $3.7 million. Alejandro Salazar the driver of the vehicle was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a valid license. The passenger of the vehicle Roger Mercado was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
