A local band will be among the acts at Dalton Defenders Days this weekend. Straight Away hails from Independence and Bartlesville and features drummer/vocalist Dana Lee, guitarist Tommy Joe Lawrence and bassist/vocalist TJ Makara.

The band plays classic rock covers, but also plays their own original music as well. Lee said their original music comes from their own experiences.

If you can't catch the band this weekend, you'll also be able to hear them as a featured act at Neewollah later this month.
