A Caney man has been arrested on multiple charges including Felon in Possession of Firearm and Drug Charges.

Over the weekend, Caney Police made a traffic stop in the 200 block of East 10th Street. Upon stopping the vehicle, the driver was identified as 34-year-old Matthew Dunham who was known to them to be driving without a driver’s license. An investigation revealed the vehicle had an open title and no insurance. Dunham was arrested and after obtaining a search warrant for the vehicle, a 9 MM Smith and Wesson pistol, drug paraphernalia, marijuana, and methamphetamines were discovered.

Dunham is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail facing charges of Felon in possession of a firearm, Possession of drug paraphernalia, Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, Possession of methamphetamines, No insurance, and No Driver’s License.

Dunham is currently on probation for drug charges in Montgomery County and faces possible revocation of that probation, because of these charges.
