Arvest Bank and KGGF have chosen a Vinita FFA student as the September Ag Student of the Month. Vinita FFA Advisor Todd Blocker says he nominated Chapter President Emily Lake for a number of reasons.

One of the things that the Vinita FFA Chapter does differently than most chapters is growing and selling crops through their Farmer's Market. Lake, who is one of the students in charge of the market, says this has taught her the importance of organization.  Lake says she wants to become a veterinarian one day and she hopes the skills she's learned in FFA will help accomplish that.
