A former Independence Community College football player was shot and killed in a Wichita club late Tuesday night, as reported by KAKE and the Montgomery County Chronicle.

Preston Spencer, a former defensive lineman who played for ICC in 2008, was shot at the scene while five others were injured. Spencer was an All-Jayhawk honorable mention in the 2008 season. Captian Jason Stephens of the Wichita Police Department identified the suspect as Keshawn Dawson. Dawson was kicked out of the club earlier that night, and had returned to fire shots at the club from the outside.
