The Pittsburg Police Department Investigation Division has received multiple tips on the whereabouts of 31-year-old William Theodore Patton. Patton physically removed his GPS device on August 26th and has been evading police ever since. On September 7th, investigators received information that Patton was hiding out at 504 E. 7th St. in Pittsburg.
At approximately 9:06 PM, officers arrived on the scene. With the help of the KBI, the front door of the residents was breached. 20-year-old Micheal Dusty Joe Taylor who resides at the residents exited without an incident. At 6:00 AM Patton who was in the attic fell through the roof and onto the front porch. He immediately got up and attempted to flee southbound and was quickly apprehended.
Patton was arrested on outstanding felony warrants out of Woodson County and Crawford County. In addition, Patton will be charged with felony interference with law enforcement and unlawfully tampering with an electronic monitoring device. He is currently being held in Crawford County Jail without bond.
