The Kansas Department of Transportation has begun a resurfacing project on K-99 in Greenwood County. The road work starts at the east junction of K-99/U.S. 54 and continues north to the Greenwood/Lyon county line.

Project activity includes a mill and overlay. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone; expect delays of 15 minutes or less. The project should be completed by October, weather permitting.

KDOT awarded the construction contract of $1.5 million to Shilling Construction of Manhattan, Kansas.
