Temperatures and heat indices will remain in the 90s for the next few days, with the first few days of September continuing a streak of hot weather started last week.

High temperatures will slowly climb throughout the week, finallly peaking this Saturday with a predicted high of around 97. A stray shower is possible on Monday, but otherwise, no rainfall is to be expected in southeast Kansas. Early predictions indicate next week, the week of September 6th, will see temperatures continue to hit the lower 90s as well.
