A local man has been arrested for suspected involvement in a string of burglaries that happened in Montgomery and Labette Counties.
On Monday, August 23rd sheriff's detectives received an anonymous tip about a burglary suspect and where he was located. Detectives had information that the suspect could be armed with a stolen gun from a previous burglary.
The search brought law enforcement authorities to 300 S 24th Street Lot eight in Independence later that afternoon. Upon arrival to the property detectives located stolen property and began requesting exit of the house. After several requests suspect Alex Wilson of Independence exited the house and was taken into custody.
Wilson was transported to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections for booking.
