Iola Man Banned From Doing Business In Kansas

A Southeast Kansas man and his contracting company are banned from doing business in the state. They are ordered to pay more than $18,000 in restitution and $40,000 in penalties for violating the Kansas Consumer Production Act. Don Diebolt of Diebolt LLC is banned from doing business in Kansas.

Allen County District Court Judge Daniel Creitz recently approved a judgment in Allen County District Court after Diebolt failed to respond to a lawsuit filed against him by the General Attorney. Diebolt was ordered to pay two previous customers $18,384 in restitution. Diebolt was also fined $40,000 in civil penalties. More tips on staying safe from consumer fraud are available on the Attorney General consumer protection website at www.InYourCornerKansas.org.
