State Senator Virgil Peck says he will look to introduce a bill in the next session for a tax-free weekend in the state for school supplies and clothes. Sen. Peck says that since Kansas does not have a tax-free weekend before school, it hurts local businesses.
Peck also brought up how high the grocery sales tax is in Kansas and what he would like to see happen.
Peck went on to say that he would like the legislature to look at tax cuts for Kansas citizens due to the revenue in the state being above estimates for several months.
