Coffeyville Police Department to join other departments around the state of Kansas in the You Drink, You Drive, You Lose. This is designed to crack down on drunk driving and remove other impaired drivers from the roadways. It is illegal everywhere to drive while under the influence and in 2019 10,000 people died from drunk driving crashes in the United States.

Lieutenant Rockie Yell of the Coffeyville Police Department says the You Drink, You Drive, You Lose is to remind drives don't consume impairing substances and get behind a wheel. Impaired driving is a major cause of crashes and is not only a danger to you and the people you are with but to everyone on the roads. Always have a sober driver with you before you drink alcohol outside of your home. Always remember to have your seat belt on it's your best defense against a crash.
