UPDATE: The Allen County Sheriff's Office has reported that the suspect is in custody and the child is safe.

Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a missing child from Chanute. At around 10:30 this morning, Nina Senkbeil was taken by her father from Sante Fe Park in Chanute. The father, Jacob Senkbeil, was on a supervised visitation when the two disappeared from the park. This afternoon, the two were seen at a residence in Fall River, Kansas, where the father made comments to a witness that led law enforcement to believe the child is in imminent danger.

The suspect left with the child in an unknown direction traveling in a black 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Kansas license plate 852FGX. If anyone spots the missing child or suspect, they should call 911 immediately.
