Three Independence men are arrested for theft.

This weekend Independence Police Officers responded to the Arco Building for a report of theft. Witnesses provided a vehicle description and officers were able to locate the vehicle and arrested Joseph Martin. Montgomery County Deputies responded to the building and a subject fled into the building. Eventually, a man, later identified as Jacob Andres, turned himself in. Labette County Sheriff’s Office provided a canine search team and located Cheyenne Mero.

All subjects were taken into custody and are awaiting an appearance before a judge. All three were arrested for theft and burglary, Andres and Mero were charged with felony interference, and Andres has an added charge of criminal damage.
