US Senator Calls for ESPN Investigation Following Big 12 Shakeup

With the University of Oklahoma and Texas both leaving the Big 12 for the SEC many wonder what will happen to the remaining members of the Big 12. U.S. Senator Roger Marshall, who is a graduate of both K-State and KU, says he has sent a letter to the U.S. Attorney General asking for an investigation into the role ESPN may have played.

Sen. Marshall says this could have substantial economic impact on not only the universities, but the cities and the state as a whole.  Sen. Marshall says to him college is much more than just about athletics. He says it is a great component but it shouldn't drive the entire experience of college. Eventually, something like this could hurt the college experience for many schools.
