For the third consecutive year, KGGF 690AM in Coffeyville has been named the best severe weather coverage in Kansas for medium market radio stations. The award was announced by the Kansas Association of Broadcasters. Station General Manager John Leonard says the award recognizes the commitment KGGF has made to bring listeners in the area the information they need in a timely manner.

In addition, KGGF News Director Matt Jordan took second place in the KAB's spot news category for coverage of the Edna Mattress Factory fire in June of this year. Both awards will be accepted during the KAB's annual convention in Wichita in October.
