A Pittsburg man who was already registered as a sex offender has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for distributing child pornography. 38-year-old Jason Wayne Irving pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.

Irving admitted that in 2019 he used his email address to upload and send pornographic photos of children. Google detected Irving's e-mail activity and notified authorities.

After receiving a search warrant for Irving's smartphone, law enforcement discovered it had been used to operate the Google and Facebook accounts that had been reported for child pornography. Various files of child pornography were also found on the phone.

Irving had to register as a sex offender after he was convicted in 2003 of aggravated indecent solicitation of a child.
