The Caney Police Department was dispatched to a disturbance involving an armed person with a knife.

Upon arrival, officers separated those individuals involved in the altercation and determined the 911 call was exaggerated by the reporting party. After checking warrants on both of the individuals it was found that 35-year-old Christopher Steffey had an active warrant for failure to appear in court.

Steffey briefly resisted officers, then he was arrested and taken to Montgomery County Jail.
