Representatives from several Montgomery County towns and cities were in attendance for an American Rescue Act workshop Monday morning.

After a relatively short regular meeting, the Montgomery County commission started the workshop. Ashley Osborne, CPA from Yerkes, Michaels LLC, said the compliance requirements for Rescue Act funding are significantly higher than SPARK funding a year ago.

Those receiving funds have until 2024 to commit that money to projects. The American Rescue Act was signed into law by President Joe Biden earlier this year.
