Arvest Bank and KGGF have selected the son of an FFA advisor as the July Ag Student of the Month. Adair FFA President Dax DeLozier is not only the son of the FFA advisor but he's the grandson of a former advisor. Despite the family name and the pressure of legacy that comes with it, Dax says he wants to make sure he's as approachable as possible to younger FFA members.

While Dax DeLozier is an example of a traditional FFA student with an agriculture background that doesn't have to be the case anymore. Adair FFA Advisor Devin DeLozier says an advantage FFA programs have is that there are many ways to be involved.  Dax DeLozier is currently being recruited by college livestock and horse judging teams including NEO. He is also considering running for state office for Oklahoma FFA.
