Union Pacific's Big Boy No. 4014 will be traveling through southeast Kansas as part of its "Big Boy 2021 Tour" starting August 5th. The locomotive will leave Cheyenne, Wyoming, traveling through Nebraska before going south through Kansas City.

Six days from its embarkment, the Big Boy will arrive in Moran at 1:45 pm. Leaving at 2:30, the Big Boy will then eventually come to a stop at Parsons for the night by 4 pm. It will leave the next day at 8 am.

No. 4014 is the only operating Big Boy out of the 25 that were assembled from 1941 to 1944. It weighs 1.2 million pounds, and it the largest and most powerful steam locomotive in the world.
