Montgomery County is looking to upgrade its rural fire department reporting software.
Assistant Emergency Manager Lee Miller reported that they would begin looking for bids at an estimated cost of around $4,000 to $5,000. The software is currently being used in many different fire departments around the area, including Coffeyville, Independence, Parsons, Pittsburg and Bartlesville.
Miller said this software would bring many benefits from the analytical to the financial.
Emergency Management Director Rick Whitson emphasized that notion, saying and the capabilities and information they would obtain from the software would be vast.
In other business, Public Works Coordinator Jim Wright presented the commission with the county's road and bridge cash report for April, May and June. The commission will meet once again next Monday.
