A new contest is encouraging residents of Coffeyville to clean its classic brick sidewalks.

Groups participating in the "Discover and Recover" contest should take a picture of their sidewalk area before starting.  Once done, before and after pictures should be sent to the Coffeyville's Reawakening Facebook page along with names, contact information, and the address of the sidewalk.

Reverend Doug Mund serves on the Coffeyville's Reawakening Board of Directors and is in charge of this mission. He said projects like these go beyond simple discovery.

Those who wish to participate should call Mund at 620-251-1190. The contest ends July 31st, with first place receiving a $100 gift certificate to a local business. Second place will receive $50.
