Senator Peck Talks Voting, Revenue

 

State Senator Virgil Peck discussed Kansas's new voting laws and record revenue for the state of Kansas on this (Friday) morning. Peck first talked about legislation that was passed that took effect on July 1st that is designed to make voting more secure.

 

Sen. Peck did say that two voting rights groups filed a lawsuit last month seeking to invalidate the new laws passed by the Legislature.

 

Peck also talked about the record revenue that the state has brought in. Sen. Peck said he would like to see checks written to the people of the state with the excess funds or to fund KPERS.
