CMLP Receives Award for Reliability

 

The City of Coffeyville's electric department has received an award for its reliability.

 

The Oklahoma Municipal Alliance announced that Coffeyville Municipal Light & Power is being recognized for first place in the association's annual Electric Operations and Reliability Competition. The utility service was recognized in the category for cities over 10,000 population and was also cited for achieving the highest level of service reliability for cities within OMA's four-state member region.

 

OMA reported that CMLP's Average Service Availability Index was 99.998 percent. That number is defined by the industry as "the ratio of the total number of customer hours that service was available during a given time period to the total customer hours demanded."

 

OMA General Manager Tom Rider presented the award to CMLP.
