Several pieces of legislation that were passed during the most recent legislative session are now law in the state of Kansas. One of those bills was the Kansas Promise Scholarship Act. Representative Doug Blex explains what the scholarship entails.

The qualifying programs covered under this scholarship include information technology and security, physical and mental healthcare, advanced manufacturing and building trades, or early childhood education and development. To qualify, you must be a resident of Kansas and have a family income of less than $150,000. But Blex said there is one more thing you must do to qualify.
