Chanute Man Arrested On Multiple Charges

A 32-year-old man was arrested over the weekend on numerous charges.

Chanute Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of the 600 block of North Steuben for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, the officers made contact with the individuals involved in the disturbance. Officers learned that the man had an active protection order against him. While officers were in the process of placing him in handcuffs, the suspect tried to swing at one of the officers at the scene, causing the officer to deploy his taser.

Dustin Earl Bond-Salisbury was then arrested for violation of a protective order, aggravated burglary, criminal damage to property, lewd and lascivious behavior, and interference with law enforcement. He was taken to the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation. Afterward, he was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
