Indy City Commission Continuing to Work on 1916 City Hall Project

The Independence City Commission will consider a couple of propsals and schematics regarding the 1916 City Hall Project when it meets in session this Thursday.

The city has been working with TreanorHL to ensure that the renovated building meets all life safety and building codes. The commission will view the latest schematics, with city staff recommending approval of them.

Following that, the commission will consider waterproofing and ventilation proposals for the building. This is being done in an attempt to solve continuing water issues that plague the basement of city hall. TreanorHL and McCownGordon are working on this proposal. Neither the schematics or proposals are available for viewing online at the moment, but will be made available as soon as the city is able to do so.

The commission will meet this Thursday at Memorial Hall, starting at 5:30 pm.
