A Chanute woman has been arrested on two counts of aggravated battery.

Chanute Police Department officers responded to the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center for a report of an out-of-control patient that was threatening medical staff. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the individual as they were yelling and refusing to calm down. Officers tried to calm the individual but were unsuccessful. During the investigation, officers arrested 42-year-old Virginia L. Goodman for two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.

She was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
