Extra money is coming to county employees in Labette thanks to some COVID relief funding. Commissioner Cole Proehl says they were able to use some of the America Rescue Act funds to give a bonus as a thank you for working through the pandemic.

Commissioner Proehl says the only ones excluded from this were the three county commissioners. This bonus comes just one week after all the department heads met with the commissioners to discuss ways to improve employee recruitment and retention.
