A connection has been made in the Taco Mayo burglary in Parsons to the bank robbery in Independence. Paul Gordon, who was arrested for the armed robbery, was found to have personal connections to a Taco Mayo employee. Gordon was wearing an ankle monitor, and records show that he was at both businesses when the crimes were committed.

The employee involved with the burglary was identified as Kailee McClelland, who was arrested for interference with law enforcement. Both Gordon and McClelland gave false statements to the investigators about the Taco Mayo burglary. Gordon is being charged with burglary and theft. After surveillance photos of the burglary were released, Gordon was given the name “Butt Crack Bandit” by social media users.
