Milling and repaving work has begun on a section of West Main Street in Independence from approximately the location of the Super 8 Motel west to the Independence city limits.

Motorists should expect delays when traveling in this area, as flag operators will manage the traffic flow.

Crews will be at work on the project from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Saturday, and the project is expected to be complete by July 1, depending on weather conditions.
