A 40-year-old Chanute man has been arrested on several charges including burglary.

Chanute Police Department Officers responded to the area of the 1700 block of South Central for an individual that had got into a vehicle and took some items. An individual saw the man get into the vehicle and chased him north and west of the residence. During the investigation, officers were able to positively identify the alleged suspect.

The next day, Officers arrested 40-year-old Jerome T. Henderson. While preparing him for transport, officers located items associated with illegal narcotics in his possession. Henderson was arrested for burglary of a vehicle, theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was transported to the Neosho County Jail without incident.
