One man has been killed and and another seriously injured in a highway crash Friday in Crawford County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a Ford Fusion driven by 66-year Michael Semones of Pittsburg was headed southbound on U.S. Highway 69 when he crossed the center line and hit a semi-truck head-on driven by 68-year-old John Lowe of Shawnee. Semones died in the crash while Lowe suffered serious injuries and was transported to Overland Park Medical Center.

Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
