Multiple Road Projects To Begin In Montgomery County

An array of road projects will be taking place across Montgomery County over the next few months.

The first of these locations will be three concrete patching projects that begin later this month. The project locations include U.S. 169, between the south city limits of Coffeyville and the Kansas-Oklahoma state line; U.S. 166 eastbound, between the west city limits of Coffeyville and the four-lane section west of the Union Pacific Railroad and U.S. 400, between the north and south junctions of U.S. 75/U.S. 400. Flaggers and a pilot car will guide one-lane traffic through the work zones on U.S. 169 and U.S. 166 while traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction on U.S. 400. Work on the projects should be finished in August, weather permitting.

Another project taking place will be a two-inch mill and overlay between the north and south city limits of Caney beginning the week of June 7th. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction. The resurfacing project should be completed in 10 days, weather permitting.

Drivers are reminded to slow down and use caution when driving through all work zones.
