Wind Energy continues to be a big topic of discussion in Labette County and attendance at county commission meetings has been higher than normal as a result. At the most recent meeting, Citizen Lindsey Wilson requested a moratorium be put in place.

Wilson requested that the resolution drafted by Commissioner Cole Proehl be rescinded as well, so the moratorium can be put into effect without any conflict.  Commissioner Lonnie Addis made the motion to put the moratorium in place and rescind the resolution, but there was no second of the motion, so the motion failed.
