The Labette County COVID-19 disaster declaration is set to expire on Thursday. Emergency Management Director Charlie Morse says it is his recommendation to let it expire and not put a new one in place.

The original disaster declaration was put into place on March 23, 2020, and had been extended before expiration every time since then. The board voted unanimously to let the declaration expire.
