Caney PD, IPD, MGCSO and KHP Work Together on Arrest

Four law enforcement agencies work together to arrest a man wanted on two felony charges. The Caney Police Department was actively pursuing the subject, who was traveling southbound on US 75 headed towards Bartlesville. Police Chief Kevin Kitterman requested assistance from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Independence Police Department and the Kansas Highway Patrol.

The suspect had a high potential to run from the police so spike stripes were set up at the US 75 and US 166 South Junction. After performing a felony traffic stop, 34-year-old Matthew D. Dunham was taken into custody and transported to the Montgomery County Department of Corrections. Dunham is charged with two counts of aggravated failure to appear on drug-related charges, and two counts of failure to appear.
