The mask ordinance in Parsons has been allowed to expire.
The ordinance, which was approved in July, required businesses and organizations to post a notice at their entrances that customers must wear masks when entering the business. Employees of businesses had to wear masks when they were in areas accessible to the public or when they couldn’t socially distance themselves from each other.
Even with the mask mandate expiring, the CDC is still recommending that people who haven’t been vaccinated wear masks when in public buildings or outside when social distancing isn’t possible.
