Labette County has the highest COVID-19 vaccination rates in the lower eight counties. Just over 45% of the county, sixteen or older, has received at least one dose of the vaccine and almost 40% has completed the vaccine series. County Health Department Director Lisa Hoppock says the Pfizer vaccine has been approved for anyone twelve or older.

Hoppock says recently they have not seen a lot of interest in the vaccine. Currently, there is only one active case of COVID-19 in the county.
