Due to short staffing at Ralph Mitchell Zoo, the City of Independence has announced modified zoo hours in effect for the next four weeks. New daily hours will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from now through Sunday, June 13th.
The modified hours will allow zoo personnel to adequately and safely care for the animals, while also serving the public until staffing normalizes.
The community’s understanding is appreciated during this time.
